HYPOCRISY/SURVIVORS ZERO
Diesel Club/Budapest - 18.02.2010.
We have arrived that morning in Budapest very early and spent some time searching around for Diesel Club. Actually, this club is located in the middle of some kind of port. Diesel club turned out to be a great place for concerts, not only because of its location, but also whole space is really great for performing live. Also, the sound was perfect! We rented a hotel which was very close to this club so everything went perfectly at the end of the day. We took a few hours for much needed rest, then did some shopping tour and finally we ended up on Hypocrisy gig. As you can notice, the show has started with death metal band, if I am not wrong, they are from Finland. Their show was average one; it was ok but nothing spectacular. I have spent most of their performance by circling through the club and checking this nice place. But finally after some waiting, mighty Hypocrisy arrived on the stage. And what a show that was! Alongside Blind Guardian, this was probably one of the best performances that I have ever seen. Actually, Hypocrisy are my favorites when it comes to extreme metal genre. Their appearance was fantastic, from the choosing of the songs to the actual sound. They played so many songs that I even couldn't count. I completely lost myself on some titles like “A Coming Race”, “The Fourth Dimension”, “Fractured Millennium” or “Adjusting the Sun”. Actually, the show started with two songs from their newest record “Valley of The Damned’’ and ‘’Hang Him High” but later on they played only one more track from their latest issue, and that is ''Weed Out The Weak''. The crowd was amazing and very active, especially when Peter & co. started to play some more aggressive titles like “Pleasure Of Molestation” or “Osculum Obscenum''. After so many of their great songs, they have returned two more times on stage giving us the final assault with such a great songs as ''The final Chapter”, “Warpath'' and finally they closed the show with furious hit ''Roswell 47''. So this was the final strike for this amazing night which I'll never forget. Also, Peter was really communicative with the fans and very active although he was tired after so many shows played on this tour (this show in Hungary was the last one). By my personal counting (and I am not so good in it) there was around 500-600 people in the club making the perfect atmosphere. I cannot wait to see yet another show in Diesel Club since this place turned out to be one of the best in our region.
