DIE MISERABLEFUCK THE FACTSRelapse Records CDFemale fronted psycho grinders Fuck The Facts return with their new full length, well it is hard to name all their recorded outputs as they have done (in the vein of true underground) tons of Eps, split releases... and just scrolling down their page on Metal archives will take you some time; but anyway”Die miserable” continues down the road of their previous couple of outputs. I have become acquainted with this band a couple of years ago when friend of mine recommended to me their then-hot album ”Stigmata High-five”, they haven’t knocked me off my feet but I have enjoyed in a way their interesting take on grind. The same situation is present with “Die miserable” so my general opinion about this band is not changed that much. You see, I have tagged them as “Grind” already a couple of times during this review but you should take that desription quite vaguely and don’t expect something in the vein of old Napalm Death or Terrorizer as Fuck the Facts’s take on said genre goes hand in hand with today’s tendencies of mixing various genres into one melting pot. The overall vibe that you will get from their music is kinda schizophrenic, the playing is really nervous (in that good kind) and on top of it all come Mel’s wretched screaming – she is really going for the vibe of whole music and grasps it so you will hardly recognize the fact that the woman is hiding behind those inhuman shouts. Fuck The Facts tend to throw in large doses of Hardcore /Punk in their sound, even some pinches of Death Metal but those genres do not take away the flow of the music – they rather employ it the way they want and feel in the given moment. All in all, a bit too nervous mucic for my tastes but I cannot deny that Fuct The Facts know what they are doing and doing it much better than a lot of their contemporaries; this one is recommended to all those into modern tendencies in extreme music.
