NäR DIMMAN LäTTARULVERHEIMSoulseller Records CDUlverheim is definitely linked with Thornium (a band that comes from 90s scene and the band that has very expensive CDs on ebay). The band performs usual type of Scandinavian black metal. They have a debut opus out entitled ''När dimman lättar'' and I think that followers of classical black metal could be delighted with this particular release. From the very beginning until the end of this record you will be able to hear some classical influenced black metal riffing touched with the assault of blast beats. There is not a huge difference between each track since the conception is all the same. So, since there is a lacking of variation one could also find that this record, despite some qualities, is a kind of monotones. But yet some tracks could surprise the listeners with some riffing or even solo parts. The production and the vocals as well belong to rawer types. I must really note that '' När dimman lättar'' brings nothing new to the black metal scene. Surly it's not a spectacular piece of work but yet some lovers of Scandinavian black metal could find themselves in their music. Marko Miranović (7) |
