UNTILTRIPSWITCHSelf-released EPIf you like Killswitch Engage, Machine Head or any other similar band which play a kind of so called modern metal surly you will easily get into the sound of Tripswitch. Their latest record is actually EP entitled Until and it contains 7 tracks. I was doubling is it full-length or just EP but promo sheet definitely help me to categorized this material. But the last two tracks are not actually songs. The 6th title is just a silence and the 7th is more like a long closing. The band comes from England and they are totally into modern sound of metal music and especially when it comes to massive production. The record Until sounds really serious and it could be comparing with other already big names from this genre. Ok, you can indeed find even some Iron Maiden influences inside their record but it hard to compare them with Iron Maiden. So, you can hear jumping from nice clean vocal pieces to screams and growling in background. Of course refrains are the easiest for catching during the fist listening. As I add above the production is really massive and great so guitars are in the first line with aggressive but yet melodic riffs. The sound of bass and rums is really fantastic and it gives special strength to the music. The booklet has only two pages but it is ok as I count this only as one self-released EP. I will not torture you by reviewing any more. For all of you who are open minded and who are into modern metal I really need to suggest to check out this band as soon as you can, definitely they can become a bigger name on current scene.
