NOUS REVIENDROUS IMMORTELSALDAARONParagon Records CDAldaaron is a black metal band coming from Alps. The music is pretty obscure, but isn't as raw as I expected from the booklet and the name of the group. Actually, the music is more atmospheric with some melodic pieces. One could compare this band with, for example, Immortal from their more furious and brutal past. But yet, this band is very atmospheric and also epic. The songs are definitely longer (around 7-8 minutes). Also, there are two shorter titles but they're more instrumental or something like that. Btw, this band has also used some background keyboards which made their style more melodic and atmospheric. Mostly there is lot of these faster parts but sometimes they can slow down and add some more monumental keyboards on the top of their sound. The sound, production and everything else is in vein of classic black metal art. The same goes for their visual aspect. Corpse-paints, black and white cover and booklet inlay... This particular record is definitely for all those who are more into Black Metal and bands like Immortal and those alike. Of course, keep in mind Aldaaron could be also a favorite for all those who are more into some melodic BM waters. Željko Jašić (8) |
